IB / IGCSE Coaching

The IB Coaching for English looks to develop analytical skills in students, along with a thorough understanding of language use, both for textual reading as well as written tasks. They are to study a selection of texts as suggested by their school and be prepared to deliver a critical analysis of these texts along with a comparative analysis. Creative writing skills form an integral part of the coursework.

English HL and SL students are both required to develop the same skills although the teaching hours are different. Writing long essays and creating a rationale for the same and presenting a critical analysis of both literary and non-literary texts are what the focus is given on.

The IGCSE Coaching for English First Language (0500) and English as Second Language (0510)  is aimed at developing excellent communicative skills in students both in speaking and writing. Emphasis is given on using a wide range of age-appropriate vocabulary, punctuation, spelling and correct grammatical structure. Reading a wide variety of texts is encouraged to develop analytical and inferential skills. Stress is given on effective presentation of facts and opinions.

What will I gain from this coaching?
  • Appropriate Language use
  • Analytical Thinking

Students are given regular Practice Drills based on past papers. Doubt solving sessions are held to prepare the students thoroughly for their exams. Comprehensive guidance is given to students regarding their assignments. Guardians are given feedback of the students' progress periodically.
